The Lac-Mégantic Region Fire Department services the municipalities of Marston, Frontenac and Piopolis in addition to the City of Lac-Mégantic. The Department covers more than 350 km and a population of 8,730 peoples.
The mission of the Lac-Mégantic Region Fire Department is to ensure the safety of residents, of their property and the environment. The Fire Department has an agreement with the municipalities of Nantes and Woburn relative to the supply of equipment, fire trucks and firemen.
The Fire Department has two full time firemen, 40 part-time firemen and a part-time (permanent) secretary.
